Brian Knight is 2017’s recipient of the Agri Machinery Trade Outstanding Contribution to Agricultural Machinery Award, in recognition of his unique contribution to the design and development of sprayers.
The award, organised by Agri Machinery Trade News, was presented – appropriately enough – beside Concorde, another product of great and innovative engineering. To complete a memorable day for Brian and his guests, they also received a technical tour of Concorde courtesy of award sponsors Aldermore.
Brian was nominated for the award by Mike Huntington, who has worked as a member of Knight Farm Machinery’s sales force for many years, and comments:
“I have known Brian for many years and have always been impressed by his depth of knowledge and practical engineering skills.
“Over those years he has invented a number of innovations that have helped users of both Knight Sprayers and cultivation equipment achieve better quality, more effective operations – exactly what every agricultural engineer should aspire to do!”
Paul Caunce, Awards Organiser and publisher of Agri Machinery Trade News, said “This particular award aimed to reward a person who has made a unique contribution to the development of farm machinery, and equally as important, where their personality, professionalism and integrity has made an even bigger one. In that respect, I am delighted that Brian Knight has become our first ever winner.”
