German based agricultural trailer manufacturers Fliegl has launched a new lightweight version of its patented ‘push-off’ trailer. The ASW ALU-TEC is made using aluminum and is available in four models all with one thing in common – a remarkably lower dead weight and thus a substantial increase in pay load.
It follows on from the success of the aluminum push-off semitrailer (ASS), which was launched in autumn 2013. The new aluminum body helps to keep weight down, along with the innovative frame construction of high-strength fine-grained steel. Both are connected over a special frame and body construction and integrated into one another. This construction method guarantees a combination of the highest stability with lowest weight.
Fliegl offers the ASW ALU-TEC in two tandem (271 ALU-TEC and 281 ALU-TEC) and two tridem-versions (381 ALU-TEC and 391 ALU-TEC). The proper weight of the trailer varies between 5,200kg and 7,100kg – depending on the equipment. Width of the body and height of the side are uniformly between 2,300 and 2,000mm respectively. The body length varies between 7,100 and 9,100mm.
Fliegl have also developed an innovative solution to loading and securing bales that does not require lashing straps. Suitable for both round and square bales, two large side wings simply take the load firmly into their grasp.
The three-axle-bale transport trailer DPW 210 BL Profi guarantees reliable and proper security of the load for road transport.
The two large covers to the right and the left can be operated individually, separately from one another, and can be opened to a height of up to 5 metres – for comfortable access to the loading surface.
Once the bales are placed, the securing arm is lowered hydraulically and the load is securely fixed for transport.
Next up is the over head conveyor Fliegl Pom-Over. It can be deployed in the transition from the field to the road. The potato harvester harvests the potatoes and transfers them onto a Fliegl push-off trailer.
If the push-off trailer is full then it transfers them from the field edge via the Pom-Over onto an HGV, that takes care of the rest of the transport.
The large efficiency plus lies in the prevention of interruptions. With overhead transfer the potato harvester can be permanently kept working without the need for unwanted breaks.
The Fliegl Pom-Over can be attached to all Fliegl push-off trailers from a length of 7.10 m (ASW 271 Gigant). It extends the application spectrum of the Fliegl push-off trailer and can also be retrofitted.
Fliegl have also expanding their range of overhead conveyors with the “Ruby” overhead conveyor for the Fliegl “Gigant” push-off trailer.
