Massey Ferguson have announced the introduction of its new MF TH Telehandler Series at Innovagri 2016, Outarville, Loiret, France on 3-6th September. The new MF TH Telehandler is a powerful addition to Massey Ferguson’s impressive farm machinery line-up, part of its Full Line product strategy.
Featuring the latest Tier IV final/stage 4 compliant engines, the new MF TH Telehandler series has been updated to boost productivity and performance to meet agricultural demands. The MF TH range includes Telehandlers to meet all requirements, from the semi-compact MF TH.6030 which is ideal for work in restricted spaces, through to the high capacity MF TH.7038 which can lift the heaviest high density bales, offers fast efficient cycles to load grain into trucks and has the power to tow a laden trailer to or from the farm.
Massey Ferguson engineers have farming in their blood, so they’ve designed the new MF TH Telehandler series to provide maximum output and efficiency during all agricultural operations and the entire life cycle of the product.
Each machine offers an outstanding return on investment, great fuel efficiency and low running costs.

The MF TH Series allows the customer to choose a model with precisely the power and capacity that he requires.
The MF TH.6030 semi-compact format offers two cab positions and excellent manoeuvrability to ensure unsurpassed performance in tight areas such as narrow barns and poultry buildings, with a short wheelbase and narrow chassis (5.71 x 2.1m).
The low cab version also offers access to height-restricted buildings at just 2.1m tall.
Yet the MF TH.6030 can lift an impressive 3000kg to 6m for optimum versatility when loading bales, fertiliser or manure.
With a more powerful 130hp engine, the MF TH.6534 excels in transport and features 190l/min hydraulic flow for faster cycle times. Capable of lifting 3.4 tonnes to 6.5m, it’s the perfect all-round materials handling workhorse.
Applications requiring extra reach and lift capacity will be well served by the MF TH.7035 which combines a 100hp engine with the ability to lift 3.5 tonnes and a maximum reach of 7m.
The ultimate materials handler for heavy, high density bales or demanding grain or muck loading workloads comes in the shape of the 130hp MF TH.7038 which has a maximum lift capacity of 3.8 tonnes and lift height of 7m. It offers 190 litres/min hydraulic capacity for the fastest work cycles and is the ideal choice for contractors or co-operatives.
All models have three selectable steering modes, two-wheel steer, four-wheel steer and crab-steer to provide optimum manoeuvrability in all operating conditions.
The MF TH series features a new 3.4l four-cylinder Tier 4 Final compliant Doosan engine which uses straightforward technology to give a Tier 4 Final solution with no compromise. The engine delivers 100hp (Max ISO 14396) on the MF TH.6030 and MF TH.7035 and 130hp (Max ISO 14396) on the MF TH.6534 and MF TH.7038.
With no requirement for a variable geometry turbocharger, diesel particulate filter, regeneration or exhaust gas recirculation, full power is available at all times.
The maintenance-free engine design depollution system improves serviceability and reduces downtime.
A new engine installation and basket design has lowered the height of the engine for improved right hand side visibility. With a reinforced bonnet and bigger opening, MF TH models also benefit from a new bonnet opening handle system
The fan Inverter, a proven feature from the MF 9000 Series Telehandler is now available with an automatic option to keep the engine clean for maximum efficiency. It offers speed regulation depending on air temperature or working at a pre-set speed, with automatic mode selected via a button on the dashboard.
Efficient hydrostatic transmissions
Massey Ferguson uses hydrostatic transmissions on the MF TH Telehandlers for highly accurate and smooth control and operation, and a unique four-speed (2 mechanical x 2 hydraulic) system allows the operator the most accurate control during material handling. The operator can choose the best ratios for ergonomic control of the machine and the two mechanical gears offer excellent road performance, with speeds up to 40km/h.
An easy-to-set creeper function is ideal for operations that demand low speed at higher engine revs. This feature provides more accuracy and control for operation such as sweeping, silage distribution, and straw spreading.
A powerful load sensing hydraulic system is specified and all functions are electro-hydraulic and proportional for accuracy and productivity.
The MF TH.6534 and MF TH.7038 load sensing pump supplies up to 190 litres of oil per minute, offering outstanding capabilities and performance even at low engine speeds. The Telehandler works faster while using less fuel.
Massey Ferguson’s SHS (Smart Handling System) is standard. It allows the operator to set the maximum hydraulic flow available. By limiting the maximum flow, machine operation can be much smoother and more accurate.
Cushion Retract is now fitted to the boom, ensuring a smoother action and prolonging the life of the components.
For more demanding implements such as straw choppers and feeding buckets an electric line can be specified, giving a fourth and fifth service.
The MF TH Telehandler offers best in class 360° visibility with a curved shape cab design, new engine bonnet design and the low boom pivot point to ensure an unsurpassed view all around the machine. This is especially noticeable to the rear of the cab whilst working in tight and narrow spaces.
An unobstructed view of front attachments ensures safe and precise loading and unloading, making it easier and safer to position bales or pallets at elevated working heights.
A new front wiper design incorporates an additional small wiper to maintain excellent visibility for maximum safety at work, regardless of the conditions.
On every MF TH Telehandler, the cab is a very productive environment that blends comfort, quietness, ease of use, ergonomics and quality.
Comfortable cab access with a large opening door is a bonus for applications where getting in and out frequently is part of the job, such as on dairy and other livestock farms.
All controls fall conveniently at the operator’s hands for optimum ergonomics and reduced fatigue.
An electronic parking brake is now standard for convenience and safety, while additional wipers maintain excellent visibility.
Boom suspension can be specified to increase comfort when transporting loads or working on rough terrain and a high comfort suspended seat is an option.
