Over recent years, British sprayer manufacturers have focused on more sophisticated machines, with the result that the door has been left open to cheap imports to flood the market.
Team Sprayers of Ely feel it is time to fight back with a UK designed and manufactured alternative.
Their new Alpha range has been designed as a low-cost, simple to use mounted sprayer built with high quality components on a strong rugged design for years of reliable service.
“For many years Team were highly successful manufacturers of simple but efficient sprayers for smaller farmers. We have decided to go back to basics with this new range which we believe will be welcomed by all those users, horticulturalists and livestock farmers who would prefer to buy British with the assurance of reliable back up and service” says Team’s Danny Hubbard.
Alpha is offered with a choice of 600L, 800L or 1000L polythene impact resistant tanks with 6m, 8m, 10m or 12m rear, manually folding spray booms. These are of a winch lift, self-levelling design in steel tubular section.
Standard features include colour coded nozzles with check valves, 73Lpm PTO diaphragm pump, manual spray and pressure control, manual sectional controls with pressure regulation, chemical can rinse, clean water hand wash and a robust CAT 2 3-point linkage frame. A number of optional extras are also available.
Danny Hubbard believes they will be popular combined with a Team front tank for doubled capacity.
“With the smallest models priced from just under £2000, they are competitively priced without compromising any UK guidelines.
“Personally I feel the stripped down design doesn’t compare well visually with our established models but comments received at Cereals where we showed a prototype suggests it’s perfectly acceptable to customers on a tight budget”.
