Strip-till system manufacturer Mzuri Ltd is appointing J Riley Agri as its new dealer covering Norfolk, Suffolk and parts of Cambridgeshire.
The company is based at Attlebridge, near Norwich, and specialises in sugar beet harvesting equipment, as well as representing a select range of quality brands, including Valtra, Versatile and Kuhn.
J Riley Agri’s Henry Baker is pleased to be adding Mzuri to that portfolio: “We are seeing increasing interest in strip tillage from forward looking farmers who want to reduce the time and labour involved in crop establishment.
“We have had an excellent response from the first customers to whom we have introduced the drills, and are already lining up demonstrations for the spring”.
Mzuri’s Will Waterer says it chose the company on the basis of its reputation: “J Riley Agri is widely respected for the quality and professionalism of its service and support to customers. They only represent a few key high-profile, professional brands – and we are delighted to be joining that list!
“We believe our full range of crop establishment equipment will appeal to farmers in the region, with the Pro-Til drill being proven to work well in the heavy soils found across Norfolk and Suffolk, while the Zip-Til mounted drill is more suitable to medium and light soils”.
Mzuri is extending its crop establishment offer with the addition of the REHAB low disturbance sub-soiler Seeder, which was launched at LAMMA 2015, and which can achieve drill-quality seeding behind a sub-soiler.
For post-harvest stubble and trash management it also offers the Rezult straw rake, which uses a combination of shallow-working discs and a five row harrow to mix top-soil and trash to achieve an effective weed and volunteer chit, while also reducing slug activity and accelerating straw decomposition
