Landquip have widened the choice of Fastrac sprayer options by launching a Forward Control JCB 4220 Fastrac.
Working with JCB dealer A M Phillip, Landquip will be offering the Forward Control with a 3500, 4000 and 4500 litre tank which can now be fitted due to the forward mounted cab and the resulting longer platform, achieving equal weight distribution when fully laden. Up to 44 metre, narrow fold, tri-fold booms can be specified giving only 2.6 metre transport width.
The first off the block is now heading to Crop Services (Scotland) Ltd to join their extensive fleet as a spray/spread machine. Crop Services, managed by Douglas Stephen, is a large contracting company that will utilise the tractor’s 60 kph road speed to the full when covering their extensive customer base throughout the Borders and Fife.
The heavy duty, hydro-mechanical, continuously variable transmission (CVT) will be a great asset when working on steep, arduous terrain and when towing a bowser behind the sprayer outfit between jobs.
As with all Landquip demounts for the JCB Fastrac, demounting takes no more than 15 minutes meaning the tractor can be quickly back in the field as a ‘self propelled’ spreader unit adding to the Fastrac’s versatility.
