Sparex, a supplier of tractor parts and agricultural electrics, has won a LAMMA Innovation Award for its Connix LED magnetic wireless lighting system.
A multifunctional wireless trailer light solution, Connix functions as indicators, hazard lights, brake lights and vehicle registration highlight.
The trailer light features a 10-hour battery life and four-hour recharging. The lights are placed on any vehicle around the farm, paired with the plug, and are ready for use.
The judges commented that the innovation is well thought out, has identified a need within the industry, fulfills a big safety requirement and it has wider uses outside of agriculture.
David Wong, the Product Director at Sparex says ‘Connix was developed after our product
team identified a gap in the market for an easy to use, portable lighting product. It took 18
months from conception to having the end product in our hands, and we are really pleased
with the results. Based on the feedback we have had so far it’s definitely going to be a top
Sparex gave some of their customers the opportunity to test Connix before it launches this
September and the feedback was extremely positive. Richard Youdan who owns Poplar House
Farm in South Yorkshire said after trailing the product ‘I was really impressed with Connix, I
used the two lights on the back of my trailer which I drove all around my farm and the
surrounding country lanes for a day and the product stayed in place.
The lights are really bright and the fact that it is wireless makes it so easy to use. It’s what farmers have been waiting for.’
Connix is available to buy from http://gb.sparex.com/ or you can request it from your local tractor parts dealership. RRP is £109.
