Collaborative Digital Systems Set to Transform Field Operations

The German Agricultural Society (DLG) has announced the winners of its 2025 “DLG-Agrifuture Concept Winner” awards, recognising innovations expected to shape agriculture over the next five to ten years. The awards highlight future-oriented technologies in crop production, digital solutions, and precision farming. The ceremony will take place on 12 November at Agritechnica, Hannover, on the DLG Expert Stage.

One of the winners, FieldDataSync from the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF), enables real-time communication between mixed fleets of agricultural machinery. The system supports cooperative fieldwork, including section control, video streaming, group management, and diagnostics. Its cross-brand, standardized approach improves interoperability, reduces development costs, and meets functional safety and cybersecurity requirements. FieldDataSync represents a key step toward fully autonomous operations and sets a potential industry standard for cooperative digital agriculture.
