Wide Body Diet Feeder Upgrades

Shelbourne Reynolds launched upgrades to its 2026 range of Powermix Wide Body 24cu/m to 30cu/m diet feeders at AgriScot with features designed to further enhance the machines’ wear resistance and longevity.

Four areas have been upgraded to stainless steel: the bolt in sidewall panels, the centre auger tube, the auger flighting and the floor. This additional stainless means that all areas of the lower tub and auger that come into contact with feed are now made from stainless steel. Both tubs and augers are also welded with stainless steel welding wire.

A new optional centre mounted rear door has also been introduced enabling operators to discharge pre-mixes into bunkers from the rear of the machine.

The diet feeders also feature the tried and tested 850mm wide front mounted webbing conveyor capable of elevating feed to both sides of the machine while maintaining a clear unobstructed view of material as it comes out of the door onto the conveyor.

“Shelbourne Reynolds is constantly monitoring wear on high daily tonnage machines in order to continually evolve the machine design to both last longer and be easier to refurbish for high tonnage users,” explains the company’s Neil Smith. “Our studies with existing customers have shown that stainless steel has significant benefits over Hardox and other higher-grade steel in a diet feeder application. These upgrades will further enhance the systems’ performance and durability which are core to the company’s pedigree.”
