Flagship power harrow enters UK market
Kuhn Farm Machinery has launched the folding HR 6030 RCS power harrow, extending its HR 1030 series with a new 6m flagship model alongside the existing 4m, 4.5m and 5m versions.
Designed for operators needing a versatile power harrow combination drill across a range of soil types and conditions, the HR 6030 RCS can be paired with interchangeable seeding toolbars for different crops. Its folding layout keeps the centre of gravity close to the tractor for improved balance and traction, and the machine is suited to tractors of up to 350hp.
The HR 1030 RCS range uses a modular format, allowing the machine to work solo or with cereal and precision seeding equipment. On the HR 6030 RCS, users can choose from three cereal options: the BTFR 6010 with Suffolk coulters, the BTFR 6020 with single discs, or the Seedflex 100 cereal bar on the BTFR 6030. An 8-row Kosma CSM precision unit for maize and sugar beet is also available. All seed bars mount to the roller frame to keep the linkage close to the tractor and reduce rear lift demand. Full-width consolidation is provided by either a 590mm Megapacker or 550mm Steelliner packers.
The main Duplex gearbox is fitted with an oil cooler to help prevent overheating, while DuraKuhn carbide-coated Fast-Fit tines are supplied as standard for longer service life. Maintenance-free gears and rotor bearings help cut daily servicing requirements.
Two front-mounted seed tank options are available: the TF 1512, offering 1,500 litres as standard and 2,000 litres with extensions, or the split 2,360-litre TF 2300 C for seed and fertiliser application. Working depth, levelling bar position and seeding depth are controlled from the cab via Isobus.
The HR 6030 RCS is available to order now, while the 4.5m HR 4530 RCS and 6-row Kosma precision toolbar are included in KuhnUK’s demonstration fleet this spring.
