Specialist sprayer range expands
AGROMA UK, the UK import business formed earlier this year between sprayer manufacturers AGROMA and Knight Farm Machinery, has broadened its line of specialist sprayers with three new machines for amenity turf, orchard and grassland use.
There are two Z3 series models among the new additions. Ideal for inter-row spraying of vines, trees and bushes, the Z3-300 is equipped with a 2m manual-folding boom with two shrouded nozzles each side.
With a 300-litre tank and 75 l/min pump, the machine features manual controls, and can be front- or rear-mounted. The Z3-500, meanwhile, is a 500-litre model targeted at those seeking a sprayer for pasture maintenance, but includes a number of features commonly found on larger sprayers.
It is equipped with a 6m manual-folding boom featuring single nozzle bodies, supplied by a 75 l/min pump. Further features include three-way spray control with balanced return, pressure regulation, pressure filter and master valve.
Both the chassis and boom are powder-coated for long-lasting protection, and convenience features include a hand-wash tank and a clothing locker.
Those with grazing land are the target customers for the SM10.12, featuring a 1,000-litre tank and 12m hydraulic folding suspended boom with triplet nozzle bodies to allow quick changes for different jobs and products.
Specification includes an induction hopper for ground-level addition of crop protection products, and a separate clean water tank for post-work internal sprayer washing.
The M10.12’s standard controller is an ARAG Delta 70t, although the sprayer can also be controlled via an ISOBUS terminal. For spot applications and/or prescription work, a NovAtel Smart2 antenna can be used for GPS-based application switching using ARAG Seletron electronic individual nozzle switching to spray only where necessary.
Available from AS Communications, a PerPlant sensor can also be added for identification of weeds such as thistles, docks and – in the near future – ragwort.
