Combi Baler goes Max

Krone has launched a completely new variable chamber round baler and wrapper combination, the CombiPack HDP CV 165 XC.

With bale diameters from 1-1.65m, a mono-belt and integrated chopping unit, extremely high bale densities offering weights in excess of 1.2t per bale and a claimed output uplift of 30%, to approx 90 bales per hour, the unit promises very high output.

The baling element and rotor are shaft driven using the Krone PowerDrive concept, which for the first time relies on a gearbox without any chains, thus reducing maintenance costs considerably.

With a 41 blade cutting unit, the baler has a theoretical chopping length down to 27mm, which is approaching precision chop standards.

The number of blades can be pre-selected and then switched from the tractor seat or keypad directly on the machine. The blades are protected individually against foreign objects. For cleaning and blade changing, the blade cassette can be pulled out towards the left-hand side of the machine.
