Innovative Weed Seed Control Improves Field Hygiene and Crop Yields
The DLG-Agrifuture Concept awards recognise pioneering agricultural technologies that could shape crop production over the next decade. The 2025 winners will be celebrated at Agritechnica on 12 November.
Zürn Harvesting GmbH & Co. KG’s Seed Select system addresses the spread of weed seeds during harvesting for the first time. The compact unit uses drum screens behind combine harvester sieves to separate and devitalize weed seeds while returning straw and chaff to the field. The modular design allows adaptation to various combine models without affecting normal operation. Seed Select helps break weed cycles, improves field hygiene, and supports more sustainable crop production.
