‘Profitable Farming’ Crop Establishment Open Days
On Tuesday 28th April and Wednesday 29th April the Claydon family will open the doors at their farm and manufacturing facilityin Suffolk to showcase how the company’s crop establishment machinery is designed, manufactured and works in the field.
These annual events provide visitors with an opportunity to look around the Claydon factory, view the company’s full range ofdirect drills/stubble management machinery, discuss grant funding and tour the Claydon farm to see winter/spring crops growing.
Company representatives will detail how the Opti-Till® System reduces crop establishment costs to as little as 20% that of a plough-based or min-till approach, which will be particularly topical following the recent significant spike in fuel prices.
Claydon Open Days will also feature speakers from Ceres Rural, Frontier and Soil Capital who will cover a range of topics. Thesewill include how to improve farm profitability during these challenging times, creating additional income streams, the benefit of the re-introduced SFI schemes, how a rotation with cover crops can improve soil health and increasing revenue bygenerating Carbon Credits.
