Handlers at Agriscot

  • At this year’s Agriscot show, Merlo will be located in its regular spot, at stand 142 in the Highland Hall, where they will be showcasing their telehandlers including, the fully electric e-Worker – a leap forward in both technology and environmental responsibility and two Turbofarmer, agricultural telehandlers, the recently launched compact TF30.7 and medium capacity TF35.7 CS.

A welcome addition to Merlo’s extensive agricultural product range, is the recently launched TF30.7 (3.0 tonne, 7m), meeting the demands of Scottish farmers, At just 2 meters wide and 2.10 meters high (the Low Cab option reduces this to 2.00 meters), the TF30.7 excels in navigating tight spaces, such as traditional farmyards, without compromising on power.

The 100hp Deutz Stage V diesel engine coupled with load sensing hydraulics and flow sharing technology ensures simultaneous multiple boom movements, allowing for maximum efficiency and outstanding performance for tasks such as mucking out or loading bales. Like other Merlo TurboFarmer models, the TF30.7 features an EPD-managed hydrostatic drive, offering smooth operation and a maximum speed of 40 km/h. For enhanced comfort on rough terrain, optional Cab Suspension can be specified. The TF30.7 succeeds the popular P32.6 model, which was a favourite among the livestock farming community, building on its legacy with improved performance, precision, and operator comfort.

The medium capacity TF35.7 CS (3.5 tonne, 7m), is a popular all-rounder machine that provides greater power and capacity than its compact siblings, ideal for more demanding tasks such as loading grain.  It features a 136hp Deutz Stage V engine with a responsive load-sensing 139 l/min hydraulic pump, and flow sharing technology as standard..  CS denotes cab suspension – active hydropneumatic suspension, which can be controlled directly by the operator with an electric switch. Cab suspension decreases vibrations in the cab, increasing operator comfort – especially welcome when travelling across uneven ground.

Merlo’s commitment to sustainability is embodied in the e-Worker, our fully electric telehandler. Designed for efficiency and environmental responsibility, the e-Worker has a 2.5-tonne capacity and a 5m max lift height. Featuring an 8-hour battery life, this machine is perfect for indoor or outdoor use without sacrificing power or performance.

Engineered from the ground up with all existing conventions set aside, the e-Worker’s innovative design includes features such as; the 1.5 tonne battery being centrally placed for overall stability and gravity-assisted boom descent, reducing energy consumption and extending battery life. This telehandler represents Merlo’s next step towards a sustainable future, combining high performance with minimal environmental impact.

The Merlo team will be joined on the stand by representatives from its Scottish dealer network.
