Fully Digital Hydraulic Communication Promises Greater Efficiency

ROPA and Fendt are presenting e-LS connect at Agritechnica 2025, a breakthrough in electronically linking tractor and implement hydraulics. By replacing the traditional load-sensing line with ISOBUS-based communication, the system allows precise pump regulation, faster response, and improved stability.

Field tests on the ROPA Keiler 2 RK22 potato harvester show increased efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and improved crop quality. Environmental benefits include reduced oil leakage and contamination, while operators experience greater ease of use and less maintenance.

Additional ROPA machines compatible with e-LS connect will be displayed at Agritechnica, illustrating the broader potential for standardised, cross-manufacturer hydraulic networking.
