New Slurry Tanker Range at Launch Event

More than 700 industry professionals gathered at Samson Group’s Landivisiau, France production site on 20–21 January for the official launch of the new Pichon SC centrifugal slurry tanker range. The two‑day event brought together dealers, contractors, farmers and specialist media, marking a key step in the group’s dual‑brand strategy.

Industrial Expertise on Show

Visitors were given a full tour of the modern Landivisiau factory, with staff demonstrating each stage of the manufacturing process. According to Production Director Antoine Le Pajolec, many attendees were surprised by the site’s scale and level of industrial organisation, expecting a more traditional workshop‑style setup.

Expanding Access to Centrifugal Technology

The new SC (Slurry Centrifugal) range broadens Pichon’s offering alongside its vacuum‑based SV models. Built on a shared technical platform with the Samson TG range, the SC series uses a centrifugal pump and Hydro‑Ejector filling system. Pichon says the approach reduces development costs and keeps pricing competitive, while offering a streamlined specification and optimised weight.

Clear Market Positioning

While the SC Pichon and TG Samson ranges share engineering foundations, the commercial positioning remains distinct. Samson continues to target the premium segment with the TG range, while the SC range aims to widen access to centrifugal technology and strengthen the group’s overall market coverage. Group Sales Director Philippe Barabinot emphasised that the SC range is a complementary offer rather than a simplified TG.

Strong Market Response

The high turnout and positive feedback from the event reinforced the group’s two‑brand strategy. The Pichon SC range will now roll out across the dealer network, adding a new, more accessible centrifugal option to Samson Group’s slurry tanker portfolio.
