Small Seeder Updates: Expanded Capacity and Higher Output
Stocks Ag has introduced a series of upgrades to its Turbo Jet and Maxi Jet applicator range, aimed at increasing output, operational flexibility and compatibility with a wider range of host machines.
Central to the update is a new pressurised 1000‑litre steel hopper, now available for both Turbo Jet and Maxi Jet models. The larger hopper significantly reduces refill frequency while maintaining consistent metering rates, regardless of product level. Designed to mount directly onto the standard chassis, it features side support rails to allow bracing for bespoke OEM or farm-built installations. Practical additions include a removable sieve to prevent foreign material entering the metering system, and a quick‑empty discharge tube for fast and clean unloading.
To support wider working widths and higher application rates, Stocks has extended its Hydraulic Fan (HD) option to the Turbo Jet 8, following its launch on the Turbo Jet 10 in 2025. The hydraulic fan delivers increased airflow, enabling the Turbo Jet 8 to operate at working widths of up to 12 metres, while the Turbo Jet 10 HD supports widths from 10 to 15 metres. Both machines can be run at higher forward speeds and configured for full‑width or row‑specific application by blanking or doubling outlets as required.
In parallel, a new 59 mm high‑capacity feed block is now available across the Turbo Jet and Maxi Jet range. Featuring metering rollers with six flexible vanes, the increased diameter significantly boosts swept volume, allowing accurate handling of larger and more irregular seeds such as peas, beans and complex cover crop mixes.
Control options include the JACKAL or i‑CON systems, offering fan speed and function monitoring, with ISOBUS‑ready versions available for full in‑cab integration. A fully specified Turbo Jet 8 HD with 1000 L hopper, high‑rate feed block and Jackal control retails from £11,971, with retrofit hopper kits priced at £3,381.
