International event attracts 7,000 visitors 

Around 7,000 farmers, contractors and machinery dealers from 43 countries gathered at Amazone’s headquarters in Hasbergen-Gaste, Germany, for the 10th edition of Amatechnica, underlining the growing international importance of the manufacturer’s in-house exhibition.

Held under the theme ‘Ideas for our future’, the event provided visitors with the opportunity to see the latest developments across the companies agricultural and groundcare machinery portfolio, with live demonstrations, technical presentations and factory tours forming the core of the programme.

Among the highlights were working demonstrations of the latest products unveiled at Agritechnica, including the ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread fertiliser spreader, which automatically adjusts spreading characteristics, and the Pantera 4504 self-propelled sprayer equipped with the company’s latest-generation operator cab.

Digital farming also featured prominently. Amazone used the event to explain its recently announced partnership with CultiWise, which aims to integrate satellite and drone-derived application maps more closely into precision farming operations to improve application accuracy and input efficiency.

A dedicated ‘Walk of Innovation’ guided visitors through the company’s latest developments in automation, digital farming and precision application, while technical specialists from the company and partners were on hand to discuss future farming technologies with growers and contractors.

Away from the machinery displays, visitors were able to tour the production facilities, spare parts centre and experimental farm, where new cultivation and crop establishment concepts are being evaluated. A vintage tractor exhibition featuring around 120 historic machines also proved popular.

The event also incorporated a used machinery auction, generating approximately €1 million in sales and reinforcing Amazone’s ambition to combine machinery launches with practical purchasing opportunities.

The strong international attendance reflected continuing demand from growers and contractors to see new machinery working in the field, while giving manufacturers an opportunity to discuss the increasing role of digital technologies, automation and precision farming in modern agriculture.
