Latest Launches at Scotgrass 2026
Kuhn Farm Machinery will demonstrate some of its most recent product launches at Scotgrass 2026, including its GMD 15030 14.5m mounted mowers, new generation MergeMaxx 952, and updated VBP 7160 OC 14 combination round baler wrapper.
Capturing the attention of showgoers will be the GMD 15030 – the widest mounted mower on the market. Folding to under 3m for road transport, the non-conditioner model is suited to lighter crops or multi-cut systems, and features four 3.1m, seven-disc beds for a 14.5m one pass cutting width. The patented 180-degree gearbox design allows each pair of beds to fold without breaking the driveline, with outputs up to 20ha/hr possible when used with Kuhn’s 3.1m GMD front mower.
Sam Alford, grassland product specialist, says the GMD 15030 will be a popular machine at the show. “Dropping 14.5m of grass in one pass offers significant output per day to cut crops at the right time to preserve the highest quality. Existing features such as OPTI-Disc Elite, Lift-Control and Fast-Fit knives are all available, while operation through Isobus is also possible.”
Following the GMD will be the new generation MergeMaxx 952 model with significant design changes and strengthening of the pickup units and running gear for improved longevity and reliability. Modifications to the conveyor belt design will help reduce impurities and maintain reliability when handling a wide range of forage types. Forage in hard-to-reach areas can be picked up with the conveyors paused, allowing it to be moved to a more favourable part of the field.
Kuhn’s latest VBP 7160 OC 14 will also be working with a redesigned bale weighing system integrated into the wrapping table for greater accuracy. The addition of the weigher on the table means only the bale is weighed and not the whole machine, with bales between 100-1500kg precisely measured. Standard VB 7100 models now have the weigher integrated into the bale kicker. Slope compensation is included for greater precision, with various Task Controller options for integration with farm management systems and recording locations of each bale for accurate yield measurements.
The practical demonstrations at the show will allow visitors to see how machines perform, with Kuhn’s UK and European technical experts on hand to discuss requirements. Scotgrass is taking place on the 13thMay 2026 at Slacks Farm, Lochmaben, DG11 1RY.
