Slurry injector and incorporator expands range

  • Pichon has announced the expansion of its product line with two high performance tools: the IDs disc injector and the CDf disc incorporator

Designed to meet the growing demands of farmers for efficiency and sustainability, these machines allow for optimal management of organic fertilizers while respecting environmental standards.

Choosing the right application equipment, such as an incorporator or injector, is essential for maximizing nutrient use and limiting environmental impacts. These technologies allow organic fertilizers to be incorporated or injected directly into the soil, significantly reducing ammonia emissions and nitrogen losses. Disc incorporators open the soil, apply the slurry, and immediately close the furrow, ensuring fast and effective incorporation while promoting organic matter decomposition and improving soil structure.

Additionally, they allow excellent mixing of plant residues and optimize nutrient use, increasing the surface area for application while minimizing losses. Injectors, on the other hand, apply slurry directly into the heart of the furrow, ensuring maximum precision and controlled working depth. This technique enables rapid infiltration of fertilizers into the soil, reduces odors, and optimizes nutrient availability for crops. Whether working with plowed soil, stubble, or catch crops, injectors and incorporators are indispensable tools for achieving optimal agronomic yields while meeting environmental challenges. By choosing the right equipment, farmers can improve soil fertility while minimizing environmental impact through more efficient organic fertilizer management.

The IDs disc injector is an innovative solution designed to optimize organic fertilizer application while meeting environmental requirements. This precision tool is equipped with 32 conical discs of 385 mm in diameter, mounted individually with a spacing of 250 mm, ensuring optimal slurry injection at a working depth adjustable between 2 and 5 cm.

The combination of conical discs and cutting discs ensures accurate slurry application to the heart of the furrow, minimizing ammonia losses and splashing while preserving plant cover. With a depth control system managed by a sensor and automatic adjustments, the IDs provides consistent working depth, making it ideal for winter crops, short stubble, or ploughed soils.

With a working speed of 5 to 12 km/h, the injector is designed for fast and efficient operations, while respecting the soil structure. Its vertical distributor and smooth-surfaced flexible hoses ensure an even slurry distribution, reducing blockages and optimizing flow rates in the field. Transport is simplified by its compact design, with a transport width of less than 3 meters and a height of 3.8 meters, ensuring stability and safety during travel. Lightweight and equipped with a secure locking system, the IDs is a reliable and easy-to-handle piece of equipment. By minimizing ammonia emissions and odours while improving fertilizer efficiency, the IDs disc injector stands as an ecological and high-performance solution for farmers seeking to optimize yields while respecting the environment.

The CDf disc incorporator is designed to meet farmers’ needs for performance and durability. Equipped with two rows of notched discs of 510 mm in diameter, this tool ensures precise soil work by opening and closing furrows for efficient slurry incorporation.

With a spacing of 12.5 cm between discs, it provides excellent mixing of plant material while minimizing nutrient losses thanks to the vibration absorption of silent blocks. The CDf is available in working widths of 4.5 to 6 meters, with an adjustable working depth of 3 to 12 cm, allowing easy adaptation to various soil types, whether for short or long stubble, or plowed soils.

Additionally, its quick depth adjustment (-50 to +150 mm) ensures flexibility based on working conditions. An optional left-mounted star edge disc ensures optimal ground leveling without soil projections, improving tracking of soil irregularities and the efficiency of each pass. The transport system is designed for maximum stability, with a transport height of less than 4 meters and a width of 3 meters, ensuring maneuverability and safety during transit. With a working speed ranging from 10 to 14 km/h and an empty weight between 1900 and 2500 kg depending on the model, the CDf disc incorporator is an essential tool for maximizing application efficiency while improving productivity and maintaining soil quality.
