Versatile Telehandler Tyre For Ag And Construction Launched
BKT Tires has introduced the MULTIMAX MP 527, a multi-purpose tyre designed for telehandlers, wheel loaders and backhoe loaders working across demanding agricultural and construction environments.
Developed for compact machinery operating on a wide variety of surfaces, the tyre is aimed at applications where durability, stability and versatility are essential. Typical operating conditions include farmyards, stubble fields, biogas plants, gravel tracks and construction sites, where equipment regularly encounters heavy loads, rough terrain and confined manoeuvring spaces.
According to BKT, the MULTIMAX MP 527 features a unidirectional block tread pattern designed to provide effective traction during loading and pushing operations, while overlapping tread blocks help improve operator comfort during transport and handling tasks.
The tyre has also been engineered to cope with the constant directional changes associated with telehandler and loader work. BKT says the tread design and wear-resistant compound help deliver extended service life, with some tyres reportedly exceeding 4,000 operating hours.
For lifting and loading applications, the tyre uses a heavy-duty carcass with reinforced sidewalls intended to improve stability and operational safety when handling heavy loads.
Willem-Jan Straatman, Product Manager Agricultural and Construction Tires at BKT Tires, said telehandlers continue to grow in popularity across agriculture because of their flexibility.
“Our tyres for this segment follow the same philosophy,” he said. “With MULTIMAX MP 527, we have developed a tyre that provides high performance on any kind of firm or hard surface.”
BKT says the tread compound has been specifically developed to resist cuts and chipping when operating on rubble, gravel and other abrasive surfaces, while maintaining long service life across mixed applications.
