Tractor range gets two new six-cylinder models
CLAAS has completed its latest ARION 6 CMATIC tractor range with the introduction of two new models, extending its compact six-cylinder offering to cover outputs from 145hp to 205hp.
The new ARION 6.140 CMATIC (145hp) and ARION 6.160 CMATIC (165hp) join the flagship ARION 6.190 CMATIC, which debuted at Agritechnica 2025, giving customers a broader choice of continuously variable transmission (CVT) tractors for mixed farming, livestock and arable applications.
All three models are powered by a 6.8-litre six-cylinder engine paired with CLAAS’s CMATIC continuously variable transmission. The flagship 6.190 benefits from CLAAS Power Management, delivering up to 205hp and 849Nm of torque when additional power is required for transport, PTO work or hydraulic applications.
A key development across the range is adaptive drivetrain management incorporating AUTO LOAD ANTICIPATION, technology that received a Silver Innovation Award at Agritechnica 2025. The system predicts load increases as implements enter the soil, automatically adjusting engine speed and transmission settings to maintain forward speed while improving fuel efficiency.
Operator comfort has also been upgraded. Buyers can specify a new premium seat with massage, heating, ventilation and semi-active suspension, alongside a redesigned multimedia system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A revised lighting package offers up to 20 LED work lights, while optional dynamic steering reduces steering wheel turns during headland manoeuvres.
Precision farming remains central to the ARION 6 CMATIC proposition. CEMIS 1200 guidance, CEMOS DIALOG driver assistance and CLAAS connect provide integrated guidance, job management and automated documentation, with new functionality allowing reference lines to be shared between machines working in the same field.
CLAAS is also introducing its MAXI CARE warranty package across the range, with component cover extending to five years or 5,000 hours as standard, while extended protection is available for up to eight years or 8,000 operating hours.
