Cereals 2026: trailed direct drill previewed
The new 8 m and 9 m trailed tine drill will be shown publicly ahead of launch, with Amazone highlighting low-disturbance establishment and higher output.
Amazone will use Cereals 2026 to give UK farmers a closer look at the Condor 02, a trailed direct drill designed for large-acreage work where consistent placement and high daily output are key. The company says the machine builds on the original Condor concept while adopting a more compact design.
Condor 02 key points
- Trailed direct drill due in 8 m and 9 m working widths
- Narrow ConTeC coulters aimed at low soil movement and accurate depth control over undulations
- New rear harrow option, shown for the first time at Cereals 2026, to improve finish and broaden use into min-till
- Triple split hopper, precision metering and MultiSwitch segmented head for individual row shut-off
The company says the Condor 02 is aimed at high-output, low-disturbance establishment. The original Condor tine drill, launched in 2013, has been used for large-scale direct drilling in working widths up to 15 m, and the new 02 version is intended to bring that approach into a more compact package.
Key features include the narrow ConTeC coulter layout and a new rear harrow option. Highlights include a triple split hopper, precision metering and its MultiSwitch segmented distribution head for individual row shut-off—aimed at maintaining accuracy while increasing output in both direct drilling and min-till situations.
