New machinery line-up heads to LAMMA 2027
A line-up of new tractors, a forage harvester and a wrapping baler will headline the John Deere stand at LAMMA 2027, as the manufacturer brings its latest grassland and contracting machinery to the NEC in January.
The show will give farmers and contractors the opportunity to get into the cab of machines launched over the past two years, including the latest 6M and 6R tractors.
The 6R range will include the new 6R 240, which adds a higher horsepower option to the large-frame range.
The latest 6M range offers 17 models across five wheelbases, with a choice of transmission technologies including the e19 full powershift and stepless AutoPowr. A top speed of 50km/h is also available.
“The machines we will take to the NEC were only announced this summer, so many farmers haven’t had the opportunity to get in the cab or speak to our product specialists about them,” said Chris Wiltshire, Tactical Marketing Manager at John Deere.
The F8 600 forage harvester will also feature. Its cab has been designed with automotive standards in mind, providing additional space compared with previous 8000 and 9000 Series machines. John Deere says the new cab is up to 6dB quieter, with reduced vibration during harvesting.
The C442R variable-chamber wrapping baler completes the main machinery line-up. The machine is designed for high-speed baling and wrapping, with options including moisture measurement and bale weighing.
Bale data can be combined with location information and bale counters to provide operators with a live record of bale numbers and locations, together with information about the harvested material.
Precision agriculture technology will feature across the stand, while John Deere Financial specialists will also be available to discuss financing options for the company’s Precision Essentials package.
LAMMA 2027 takes place at the NEC Birmingham in January.
