Tracked loader adds traction and lift capacity
A tracked version of the Teleskid telescopic skid-steer loader has been introduced to the European market, offering increased traction, lift capacity and ground protection for agricultural, forestry, groundscare, construction and industrial applications.
The 3TS-8T uses 450mm-wide rubber tracks rather than tyres, improving traction and reducing ground pressure. Its 74hp DieselMAX engine meets Stage V emissions requirements without requiring a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).
The machine retains the Teleskid’s single Powerboom, positioned to the right of the cab, with a telescopic section providing a maximum lift height of around 4m. The single-boom design leaves the left side of the cab clear for a conventional door, allowing the operator to step directly in and out without lowering the boom or climbing over an attachment.
A larger cab provides more than 30% additional space, while improved visibility and the absence of sunken footwells make the cab easier to clean.
Two-speed hydrostatic drive provides spin-turn manoeuvrability, making the machine suitable for confined areas and applications including bale handling, livestock feeding, bedding, muck spreading and stockyard work.
Compared with the wheeled 3TS-8W, the tracked version sacrifices travelling speed – 13kph versus 20kph – but gains a longer wheelbase and higher rated operating capacity.
The 3TS-8T is rated at 1,705kg with the boom retracted and 746kg fully extended, compared with 1,483kg and 632kg respectively for the wheeled machine.
A 7in touchscreen provides control over ISO or H-pattern joystick operation, sensitivity settings and fuel-saving functions, while a reversing cooling fan helps keep the radiator clear of dust and debris.
